Family life photography by Monica Brown bio picture
  • WELCOME!

I believe family life is where it's at.

Our daily life revolves around our family. Our days are filled not only with the routine of things, but the special moments that we will always remember. The sound of our children's laughter. The spontaneous hug after breakfast. The way their hands feel in ours. This is life we will remember when time slows down. But for now we are running along beside them, doing our best to teach them to become fearless, strong and happy. Isn't it worth taking a day aside to document this life? This wonderful life that we live right now?

I love all aspects of family life. My life's work is to photograph your family life as it is right now. Because even in a year's time, things will be so very different.

So let's chat. Tell me all about your kids, the daily grind and what brings you joy in all of it. I can't wait to hear your story!

    delightfully,
    Monica

ONE YEAR LATER [Monica Brown, Pensacola Family Photographer]

My how they grow!

I can’t believe it has been over a year!  Sweet Ellie has changed so much since her newborn session:) Look at what she can do!

I absolutely LOVE everything about these images…

The smiles on their faces – Ellie has the sweetest smile:)

The wind in their hair.

The way they look at each other.

(Did you notice Ellie playing in the background while I took some shots of her mommy and daddy?)

And Julie, you did an AMAZING job choosing your family’s clothes.  Your color palette complimented the vast blue sky and turquoise ocean Sunday.

All around, I am smiling ear to ear when I look at these!  I hope you love them just as much!

delightfully,

Monica

THIS BEAUTIFUL FAMILY part one [Monica Brown, Gulf Breeze Maternity photographer]

I feel so blessed to have been welcomed into the [S] family home.

First of all, they are planners like me:) They contacted me in January for sweet baby [M]‘s newborn photos.  She was due in June.  Needless to say we hit it off!  (Baby [M]‘s photos to be part two.)

We started by scheduling [K]‘s maternity photos.  She already had two sweet baby girls, and I just *love it* when Mama’s that already have little ones opt for a maternity session.  It is just so special…the love you see between the girls and their mama…knowing this is the last time you will be photographed as a family of four…the excitement as you wonder just who this little baby is going to be…

[K], girl, you TOTALLY.ROCKED.THE.CAMERA.

I look forward to sharing beautiful baby [M] with all of you.  The story of that day, their session, the love in This Beautiful Family, inspires me.

delightfully,

Monica

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE RESULTS

Most every day is Good.  Some are Great.  And others even tip the scales to Super.

But some days are Bad.  And some even border on Terrible.  Those are the days when I am truly challenged.  How do I keep a Mess from turning into a Disaster? Well, sometimes I don’t.  There are days when I am able to self correct mid spin to recover and some days I crash and burn.

But on the successful days I am able to somehow see clearly, define the problem (which may or may not be my fault) and change my course.

This hand sewn burlap bag is the result of my redirection earlier this week when I discovered that my bank account had been hacked.  I could show you the result of a bad day, but that would not be so nice a photo.  Just know that those days happen, and I am grateful for the people that help me get it together again.

Here’s hoping for a delightful, carefree weekend!

delightfully,

Monica

COMPLETELY CUSTOM CHRISTMAS CARDS! [Monica Brown, Pensacola Family Photographer]

Yep.  Try saying that fast five times:)

I am SO COMPLETELY OVER THE MOON about the Christmas cards I am offering to you this year!  They are simply amazing.

Share the smiles.

Each and every session that I photograph is completely different, and each of my wonderful clients is totally unique .  You invest your time planning your session, choosing your attire and location – and the outcome are your beautiful family portraits that you are proudly display in your home.  Christmas is a wonderful time to share these photos that you hold dear with friends and family.  And after you taken such time and effort creating portraits that are one of a kind, shouldn’t your Christmas cards be just as unique as you?  Now they can be.

Completely Customizable.

Yes.  You heard me correctly.  Again, I am giddy over these cards!  Once your session is complete and your gallery has been presented to you, here is how it will work:

  • Choose your favorite images.  Which photos speak directly to your heart and show your family exactly how you want to remember *this* time in your lives?  You can choose one that you would like to stand out, or a collage of images that tell a story.
  • Choose your color palette.  Not everyone wants to wear red for Christmas photos, so these cards allow you to choose from FOUR different color palettes so that your card’s design is cohesive with your portraits.
  • Choose the design for each face of your card.  For 5×7 flat cards you will choose a front and back.  For 5×7 folded cards you will choose a front, an inside spread and a back cover.
  • Place your images:)

If you book a Christmas Mini-Session, you will receive 25 of these beautiful cards with your order – completely complimentary!

Some dates to keep in mind:

Saturday, October 22 : Mini-Sessions in beautiful downtown Pensacola (only 4 sessions left)
Sunday, October 23 : Mini-Sessions with the natural backdrop of Johnson Beach (only 2 sessions left)

Sunday, November 6 : LAST day to have family Christmas photos taken with guaranteed gift and print delivery by December 10th.

I know, that sounds early.  But if you would like to have your Christmas cards in the mail by early December and headed to your loved ones to enjoy on their mantels for the holidays, then now is the time to schedule your session and start shopping for some amazing outfits!

delightfully,

Monica
